Polymer self-assembly in films
Self-assembly of polymers for the generation of well-defined and controlled nanostructures
Block copolymer (BCP) self-assembly is a unique route to creating macroscopically large polymer samples with a complex three-dimensional architecture with features on the nanometer length scale. We can direct or manipulate BCP self-assembly by applying external fields (electric fields, epitaxy, or solvent fields) to obtain desired nanostructured morphologies over large scales.
Experimental techniques: SEM, SAXS, GISAXS, DSC, (polarized) light microscopy.
