SNSF Starting Grant

The Adolphe Merkle Institute (AMI) is happy to consider internal and external candidates who wish to apply to the SNSF Starting Grants funding scheme with AMI as the host institute. The candidates should request support no later than 8 weeks before the SNSF deadline, but ideally much earlier, by sending the following documents to the AMI Director, Prof. Ullrich Steiner (ullrich.steiner@unifr.ch):

·         Publications list

·         Outline of the proposed project

The AMI Executive Board will examine the request and if appropriate invite the candidate for an interview. The decision to support or not a candidate is based on four criteria: Scientific excellence, availability of lab space and resources, alignment with the AMI’s mission and vision, and potential synergies with the AMI groups.
