Research Scientist / Postdoc (BioNanomaterials)

The BioNanomaterials group invites applications of a researcher (m/f) for a project (12 months) in the domain of tissue engineering including 3D cell bioprinting technology to establish to establish various standardized bioprinting platforms for human epithelial tissue barriers, e.g. lung, intestine and kidney, engineering by a layer-to-layer printing approach combing hydrogel layers with epithelial cells. This work also includes a thorough characterization of the cell models by state-of-the art methods such as to investigate the barrier characteristics and to apply immunofluorescence techniques.

Applicants must have a MSc, PhD or equal degree in Cell Biology or Tissue Engineering. Excellent skills in the domain of cell culture techniques, cell analysis, and / or bioprinting technology are expected. Enthusiasm for top-quality research and good oral and written English communication skills are a must. Proficiency in either German or French is an advantage.
