Cécile Bonnaud was born in Lyon and studied chemistry. She received her bachelor Degree from the University Claude Bernard in Lyon and then followed engineering studies in chemistry. She graduated in 2009 from a French Engineer school (CPE Lyon, chemistry, physics and electronics) in chemistry and process engineering, majoring in life sciences and health. During her studies, she gathered more than 1 year professional experience in research and development departments of chemical and pharmaceutical companies. During these internships, Cécile had the opportunity to work with nanoparticles and could then bring her expertise in the new established group of Alke Fink at the University of Fribourg (CH). She moved in 2011 with her professor to the Adolphe Merkle Institute and published her work in different journals. Cécile graduated from the Adolphe Merkle Institute in 2013.
